Self-esteem is the magic word to improve the standard of life. There is a story of a beggar who became a big businessman only keeping his confidence and self-respect as an investment. Once the beggar holding a bowl with many pencils stood in the railway station made his earning daily with the dollars dropped in the bowl. One usual day, an executive dropped a dollar and boarded on to the train. But suddenly, before the doors get closed, he came running to the beggar and took the pencil from the bowl equivalent to the dollars dropped by him and said we should always do a good business with mutual understanding and went away. After six months, they both met in a party but the executive could not recognize the well dressed beggar. The beggar came and expressed his thanks saying “you started the business by taking the pencils and made me realize my inner self respect which boosted me to become a big businessman”.
